Tysons, Virginia, originally known as Tysons Corner, is a community located in Fairfax County. Its history dates back to the 19th century, when it began as a small agrarian settlement. The area was named after William Tyson, who operated a general store at the intersection of two important roads, which became a hub for travelers.
